On Sunday, November 30th CBS will show their investigation special “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This documentary was produced after a 4 month inquiry into the online Texas Hold’em poker industry and exclusively a cheating scandal in relation to the online Texas Hold’em page Absolute Poker.

This Texas Hold’em room was examined after several of the Texas Hold’em poker players on the website said that a player was unjustly winning a great amount of cash. Todd Witteles was a key witness in this investigation, according to him; he was losing large amounts of poker chips to the exact same Texas Hold’em player. Witteles claimed that this gambler was raising against incredibly good hands, the majority of people would have assumed he was basically giving his money to the other players, but he was in reality earning tons of chips.

Witteles was correct about his suppositions, much later it was discovered that someone on the inside was able to watch anyone’s poker hole cards. At first look, Absolute Poker said that there was no wrongdoing with the site or the poker player. After lots more players presented the site with accusations, the poker webpage studied deeper into the cheating problem and discovered wrongdoing.

In Jan. of this year, the gaming commission exposed what the poker competitors and the Texas Hold’em room had suspected all the time. As it turns out, there was a worker who had broken through the poker webpage’s security system and was competing illegitimately for approximately six weeks. The inquiry showed that the Texas Hold’em poker webpage had not benefited from the unlawful activities in any way, and was not implicated.

These crimes are further proof that there should be more guidelines in regards to Texas Hold’em poker sites. The United States government needs to license and regulate the internet Texas Hold’em industry to defend these honorable clients. These regulations would also police the entry to these pages by children, which is turning into another issue these days.

Posted under gambling & gaming & internet poker & poker & poker rooms

Due to the inherent difficulties involved in the taxation of the online poker rooms, many nations are less than enthusiastic about hosting them. But in the case of those nations who are more than happy to see these types of establishments open within their borders, there is a tremendous amount of income and revenue generated on the web for both players and proprietors alike to take advantage of. Regardless of where in the world you might live, you will find very quickly that there is some type of gaming and gambling establishment on the web to suit your needs. In the case of extremely popular online poker rooms and online casinos, it becomes clear that expanding to serve foreign markets is a highly profitable and lucrative marketing effort and will very likely be met with a tremendous level of success in general.

In the case of countries that do not allow these types of poker rooms and casinos to exist, such as America, it is a simple matter to base the poker room in another country overseas such as Costa Rica, Antigua and Aruba, and continue doing business as usual. It is so difficult to restrict this type of activity, which the United States government has resorted to taxing online poker room players, rather than the proprietors.

With this tremendous amount of expansion into a new world market, internet poker rooms and casinos that have traditionally been limited to a certain specific available range of gaming and gambling opportunities have now seen a larger world and greater opportunity begins to emerge from the structure of the online poker rooms and casinos and the competition that they offer to their players on the Internet. As more and more online poker rooms and casinos such as Fulltilt.com branch out into the international community and on the world stage, it becomes very clear that there is a massive amount of revenue and winnings to be taken advantage of by both patrons and proprietors of internet poker rooms and casinos on the Internet in general. Online Poker Room and Casino Players Continue to Support their favorite Pastime On the Web

Posted under gambling & online casinos & online poker & poker

In the early days of the Internet, when the first online poker rooms and casinos began to open up and conduct business on the Internet, there was no need to put any type of effort or capital into advertising, as there were very few poker rooms and casinos to choose from and players just simply flocked to them like moths to the proverbial flame. As time passed, there became more and more emphasis on opening new and constantly evolving online poker rooms and casinos which attracted more and more players, eventually becoming saturated to the point that the business at these online poker rooms and casinos was rivaling that of the traditional brick and mortar gambling establishments in world-famous areas such as Las Vegas. Competition became fierce between online poker rooms and websites that offered gaming and gambling alternatives such as Texas Hold’em poker, Omaha and stud variations, as well as more mundane games such as blackjack, roulette and even video slot machines on the Internet.

At some point, the online poker room player and casino enthusiast has to make a choice as to whether they continue to play online poker or spend more time on other pursuits. It is neat to talk about such a choice, but when it comes time to make a decision, it can be very difficult to leave behind the tremendous amount of cash that the online poker room and casino player can stand to win at sites such as Full Tilt Poker. Clearly, some compromise must be made here on the part of the poker room player, or the part of the real world.

There are some simple steps that can be taken to help illustrate the separate points of view of each family member. While the online poker room player might certainly be earning tremendous amounts of money online, it is hardly worth the exorbitant amounts of time that are spent away from the family and sitting at the computer terminal all alone. On the other hand, some reasonable amount of online Internet play is and should be acceptable, especially if the poker room player is somewhat skilled and wins on a regular basis. If this is the case, and the player is consistently earning money, or even earning a full-time living on the Internet, then some reckoning must be had between the players ability to earn income on the Internet in a full-time capacity and the emotional needs of the family, who might want the player to spend more time with them regardless of how much he or she might earn on the Internet, playing in online poker rooms and online casinos such as Fulltiltpoker.com on a full-time basis.
