Is Boasting in Poker Tournaments a Good Bluffing Technique?

Posted under poker tips & poker tournament & professional poker

poker bragging
Without a doubt the most insufferable players at the poker table most every time will at all times be the boaster. You have an idea of the one I’m telling you about. He’s the guy that finds a seat at the no-limit Texas Hold’em table and makes evident you’re conscious that he wants to take all of your poker chips; exiting the Texas Hold’em table with the exact same position that he arrived with. Even if the guy gets shut down, he has the thought that he is the best Texas Hold’em Poker player in the world.

As the bulk of poker players would preferably keep away from rivals of this category, there exist other poker players who might say that bragging may have its compensation. So, the big question is: Is there truly something like an expert Texas Hold’em boaster or unfair Texas Hold’em boaster? Shooting off their mouths about how skilled you are in Texas Hold’em is in essence just like affirming: “I am the best no-limit Texas Hold’em player on the planet, be sure to play your best game while you’re competing in a Texas Hold’em game against me!” Almost definitely the nastiest vibe to give out playing no limit Texas Hold’em poker. In addition, sharing too much info. about your poker playing techniques can be quite detrimental to your poker game. You undeniably do not want these folks to find out how you play specified Texas Hold’em Poker hands.

Furthermore there are those poker players who could make use of showing-off as a type of Texas Hold’em technique, or bluff. Showing-off when you get a certain Texas Hold’em hand might bewilder your opponents and stump them about your no-limit Texas Hold’em playing style. There are those who may think that this tactic a bit deceitful, but it is important to bear in mind that there are not too tons of rules against it in poker. No-limit Texas Hold’em is all about making the most of what you’re dealt and taking advantage of it to the fullest.

Is it Possible to Make Money in the Game of Texas Hold’em?

Posted under gambling & poker tournaments & professional poker

poker cash
If you were to have a conversation with any typical guy or girl off the street about Texas Hold’em poker, they most likely wouldn’t consider poker to be a game of practice, planning, or close examination. Most likely when you mention Texas Hold’em with them, they would almost certainly picture some friends sitting around their living room chatting and smoking cigars. They also may consider Texas Hold’em to be a game of pure luck rather than ability, more like a game of roulette compared to a skill game, for instance.

So the big doubt is: “Is it possible to make a profit by playing poker?”. Believe it or not, you can actually make money this way. Some individuals not just rake in some cash by playing Texas Hold’em, but also become very wealthy by playing poker. The most important thing you have to remember about poker is that while you can play in a Las Vegas casino, beside craps tables and slot machines; in poker you are not playing against the house but against other online Texas Hold’em poker competitors. Therefore, in reality, you are putting up your money against other rivals in a competition of expertise unlike a game of luck.

You might be saying to yourself: “Isn’t being lucky a big part as well?” The truth is in online poker, no one knows which hands will be dealt out. That doesn’t necessarily suggest that one cannot play with a reliable quantity of pre-tournament data. One thing that is important to not forget in Texas Hold’em poker is that numbers will be your best friend. Math plays a rather essential part in the game of poker. Not forgetting, that even if you get rather fortunate regularly the statistics always have a way of bringing you back to reality.

Try to remember that Las Vegas casino games such as Texas Hold’em where you are really contending against other actual competitors CAN be won. One will find that the more you play the game of Texas Hold’em poker, you will find out that it is more of game of ability and not just pure luck.

Poker is not just for Poker Professionals Anymore

Posted under poker & poker players & professional poker

The game of poker used to be accessible only in Sin City Hotels or from video poker machines, but now it is more in style than ever in Sin City thanks to the TV.

The well-known Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino, is now banking on this new found popularity with its new audience-participation show called “The Real Deal!” in its Venetian Showroom, beginning in October.

Their new show will join comedy and game show elements to entertain its live audience. The audience will also be able to take part in the great game of Texas Holdem’ alongside the best poker players in the world. The show has many prizes for the audience including a chance to win 1$ million.

In “The Real Deal!” the audience members will play with players like Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu. Around 10 professional players have already signed up for the game show about poker. The audience will be able to play along with the 90 minute game thanks to handheld, wireless, touch screen devices located on each seat.

“People who take a trip to Vegas casinos want to play poker,” Negreanu says, “but obviously they can’t play in a world poker tournament with the players such as Doyle or Phil Hellmuth. But, in this show, they actually can.” When the show begins, six audience members will be chosen to sit at the poker table on stage with two professional players. Each audience member is then involved in the action by being dealt a unique set of poker cards on their devices. Everyone in the showroom is then involved in the action with big-screen monitors located on stage.

The show’s producers say that you don’t have to be a pro poker player to participate in the poker game. There are other ways to increase your point total, that doesn’t involve the game of poker necessarily. Betting on the suit of the next poker card or trying to guess which state a particular audience member is from, are just some of the ways to come out a poker champion in this game.

The show’s creators are also placing bets on the personalities of the pro poker stars to create some interesting moments. People like Scotty Nguyen, the flamboyant five-time winner of the World Series of Poker, definitely knows about entertaining the crowd and should provide some memorable moments in this new poker game show .

South Korea Offers First International Poker Tournament

Posted under poker & poker tournament & professional poker

With all the focus on expansion of existing poker rooms and casinos, as well as the ubiquitous Texas Hold’em poker tournament circuits that draw so much attention from all over the world, it is only natural that nations in emerging economies such as South Korea should want to host their own international poker tournaments as well. To this effect, the South Korea area will host the first ever international poker tournament that has been seen in the nation. Interest in these types of poker tournaments has continued to rise throughout the international community and in recent years has prompted organizations such as the Steve Wynn group and the Las Vegas Sands Corporation to take advantage of the emerging economies in developing nations all over the world, including Asia and Europe, two areas that have seen explosive growth in the popularity of Texas Hold’em poker and other types of professional level poker tournament circuits. With all this popularity, the traditional homeland of Texas Hold’em poker tournaments, the United States, seems to be lagging behind.

As competing economies continue to outpace the United States and revenue generated by institutions such as online poker rooms and their traditional brick and mortar counterparts in foreign lands continues to climb, the domestic market continues to stagnate, due largely to the multiple factors of the declining real estate market which has led to a slump in the economy, as well as the attack by the United States government on online poker rooms and casinos such as Fulltiltpoker.com. With all these efforts by the United States government to sabotage the income and revenue stream that traditional Texas Hold’em poker tournaments and the establishments that host them generate it is easy to see what type of future the domestic market might have for the Texas Hold’em poker tournament circuit. Considering the investments and to other areas as opposed to the United States, it would seem apparent that organizations such as the Las Vegas Sands Corporation and the Steve Wynn group are less than confident in the domestic market’s ability to recover quickly. With the emphasis on investing into casinos and integrated structures in areas such as Europe, Asia and other emerging economies and in developing nations around the world, it would seem that these multibillion-dollar organizations are ready to abandon the domestic market at the first hint of trouble.

The massive amount of money at play has attracted players from all over the world who want to compete in the Legends Of Poker Tournament, the annual tournament that rivals the World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas for international coverage. This extended press coverage helps to expose the game of poker to the world and allows more players to enter into games both off-line and on. This emphasis on providing plenty of publicity and exposure goes a long way towards bringing in new action to the casinos. As viewers at home see more and more poker activity on television, more players begin to become more active and are spurred on by the glamorous lifestyle that is perceived to exist in Las Vegas and other areas that support heavy poker playing and other gambling. But playing in the legends of poker tournament takes more than simple enthusiasm.

The assembled players who have signed up to play in the Legends of Poker Tournament is staggering to say the least. Only a handful of professionals such as Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu were absent, as nearly everyone else including Jerry Yang, Doyle Brunson and his daughter Pam and even 2006 World Series of poker ladies champion Mary Jones participated and are positioned to battle it out for the top prize. The names of the professional players who are participating in the legends of poker tournaments include Theo Tran, Kevin O’Donnell, Tom Schneider, Alfred Megrabyan and Jordan Morgan. Among all the names participating in the legends of poker are some of the most notable and famous players of all time.
